This sweet couple tied the knot here just a few short months ago. We immediately clicked with this couple and the bride’s parents when they toured. This couple has a smile that is infectious. Seeing their wedding gallery come to life…well you can see what I mean. This bride and groom were beaming on their wedding day, which makes us so happy to see!

Tell us the short story of how you met one another.
I had just started college at the University of Memphis and Hollis was a teacher and coach in a small town outside of Memphis. A friend of mine growing up had moved to that small town to be a teacher and ended up becoming friends with Hollis. One day they came to The University of Memphis to eat lunch with our group of friends. I had heard of him but hadn’t met him yet and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. He ended up being really nice and we joked throughout lunch! By the time lunch was over he was saying how he felt like we were already best friends, to which I sarcastically responded that the feeling wasn’t mutual! Our light hearted, always joking friendship had been formed and little did I know he would quickly become the best friend I’d ever had. He says he knew the moment we met that I was going to be special to him. He actually snuck a video of me on his phone that day that he says proves he started falling for me right away. I’m so thankful to have that memory to watch forever. And even though I didn’t see it coming, he sure was right and the feeling is definitely mutual now!
Tell us about the proposal!
He sent me and his sister on a scavenger hunt to different places around Memphis that were significant to us! At each stop he had family and friends who had clues to where the next stop was. At the end of the day I finally got to him at the last stop and he proposed! It was at sunset in a clearing next the Mississippi River and Memphis bridge.
What was the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
Our first look! Neither of us thought we would cry ,and we both ended up crying!
Why did you choose White Oak Farms?
It was by far the prettiest venue in our area and it allowed us to have both the ceremony and reception in one place. It was also under budget which was a plus for this money conscious girl! Plus everyone was so nice to us which made it even better.
